Laura Shanks joined our Maryland team as a Vice President and Commercial Underwriter in 2015. Previously, she spent over 30 years as a manager and co-owner of Home Title Company, Inc., a local commercial and residential title company. There Laura managed day to day operations, examined titles and closed a wide variety of real estate transactions.

Laura brings many years of experience in managing and closing all types of commercial real estate transactions including governmental, tax credit and defeasance loans; purchase and development transactions on numerous large development projects throughout Maryland and Virginia involving mixed-use, senior housing, apartment complexes, big box shopping centers, colleges, office buildings, and stadiums.
